Some wisdom there. I'm getting on a soapbox, please disregard if you're not in the mood. I don't do this to win anyone over. I'm sending out a beacon looking for like minded souls.

I love the wisdom my son imparts to me. His aspirations are so pure and simple and present. I remember having them as a child myself. He wakes up and he wants to run. He wants to play. He wants to sing. He wants to draw. When I feel sick he wants to help me by playing doctor. The only time I hear him wanting "things" are when he's watching TV and a commercial comes on. He has never stated in his four and a half years that he wants money. And that would be silly because money is a completely 'made up' thing that only has the value we give it. I honestly long and pine for those days when money was not such a factor in my life. My boy reminds me of a simple way of living. A way that I wonder if we'll ever achieve.

In this time of our upended 'economy', you would think we would be reaching and striving for a NEW way to make life in this world a better place for all of us. What we have now really only serves very few. The democrats do not have the answer. The republicans do not have the answer. Politics is not the answer. Our incredible ingenuity as a species is the answer.

There is no dearth of food on this planet. We could wipe out world hunger in a minute. There is not a lack of resources on this planet. Everyone could have the resources for basic survival (even "thrival") in a minute. The only lack is in the human heart and mind.

I find it sadly funny that when Netflix decided to change their dvd program, all hell broke loose in the American public! Netflix changed their minds. When Verizon wanted to add a $5 processing fee, America was up in arms! "How dare they?!" Verizon changed their minds. The US Postal service was going to end Saturday mail. "NOOOOOO!!!" The Postal service changed their minds.

People are starving in this country. Kids are dying because they are homeless. Getting sick bankrupts families into losing their homes and finances forever. ETC...What do we do? Bitch about politics. Both parties have failed. Politics has failed. We need a new system of living on this planet based on technology, resources, the human spirit and human ingenuity. A system that puts money in its proper place, the history books. Can it happen overnight? No. Will it be easy? No. Is it possible? Yes. The question isn't "CAN we do it?" The real question is "WHY don't we want to do it?"
